Academy Information

TRAINEE POSITIONS

The following trainee positions will be available at the 2019 Winter academy (if a position is not listed there is not any availability for that specific position). All trainees will work on taskbooks and receive experience in their specific position. To apply click the "T" button below.

  • $45 per day (includes breakfast, lunch & dinner)
  • You must attend a minimum of 4 days
  • Each position has a maximum number of trainees (see positions below). This maximum is per day per position, not per academy.
  • http://training.nwcg.gov/sect_task_books.htm, all applicants will be notified of their acceptance (or contacted with an explanation if not accepted)
  • As this is a planned event, no taskbooks will be completed or recommendations made for final certification.
  • An evaluation with completed tasks will be provided for each trainee
  • Bring your position kit, if you have one, and your initiated PTB.

2019 Winter Vendor Information

Location: Mesa State University

Academy Dates: June 3-9

  • Set up begins June 2nd at 1500

Exhibit booth fee schedule

  • 8' x 10' booth space = $350.00
  • Table top space = $250.00. Additional spaces = $100.00 per space
  • Additional meal tickets = $25.00 per person – per day

     Lodging:

  • Host hotel is the Rodeway Inn at a cost of $83 per night.

Registration for the Colorado Wildland Fire and Incident Management Academy (CWFIMA) is open to anyone wishing to attend, however, priority is given to agency employees.

Student Registration Information

Students are able to register On-Line for the upcoming Academy or submit a nomination via email or fax.Please read the following information prior to completing the Student Registration Application.

The next CWFIMA Training academy has been scheduled for the Winter session.
