This unique training event will be held on July 20-22, 2018 at Northeastern Junior College. Fire on the Plains (FOTP) is geared towards structure fire departments seeking training on a variety of platforms including live fire, extrication, command, driving, FF skills and EMS skills. Come join us for a day, 2-day or extended weekend.
Fire on the Plains is a collaborative effort to bring cost effective, high quality, hands-on training to the first responders of the eastern plains of Colorado. This year we have re-tooled some of our offerings and added a few that folks have requested. We are also partnering with Northeastern Jr College this year and college credit may be available for some courses.
This event is designed to provide basic skills introduction to newer firefighters as well as giving the seasoned firefighter the ability to explore new concepts. Each session will provide the opportunity for students to work on specific Job Performance Requirements (JPR) for certification maintenance. Click to Read More and Register Online
This year we have several 4 hour and several 2 hour sessions. The student may pick and choose which sessions they wish to attend. Please be mindful that if you sign up for a 4 hour session you will not be able to leave early to attend a 2 hour session. Students may attend for the entire weekend or just one day. Meals are included in the price of tuition.
FOTP is sponsored by the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention & Control along with the Upper Arkansas Valley Wildfire Foundation.
