Trainee Positions

In addition to courses offered, we have a need for trainees in the positions listed below. This is a great time to work on your task books. As a trainee, you will manage the daily operations of the Colorado Wildland Fire and Incident Management Academy with the guidance of a qualified trainer.

The Colorado Wildland Fire and Incident Management Academy is an incident and trainees will work in excess of 8 hours per day. No overtime or comp-time will be covered by the Colorado Wildland Fire and Incident Management Academy.

Trainees will be allowed only 1 task book and may take a class only if authorized by your trainer. Trainee positions are limited, so apply early. Trainees are required to send a copy of their initiated task book when submitting their nomination.

Please note: not all positions are available due to availability of qualified positions. You will be notified if the academy will not be able  to provide you a qualified trainer.

Questions please contact the Academy.
